Description Pascal Patry 2009-04-20 19:09:53 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I'm setting Luxi Sans size 10 as my default font in all my applications. When using this font in KDE, the underlined text is incorrectly rendered. The actual underline touches the font itself. Using the exact same setting, this is not reproducible in KDE 3 and neither in Gnome/GTK apps. The current KDE I have was compiled against Qt 4.4.3, but I also have Qt 4.5.0 and if I start my applications using it, I can still reproduce the issue.

I'll attach a screenshot to show the difference from the menu bar from Firefox and KMail.

Settings used:
 Font: Luxi Mono
 Size: 10
 DPI: 96

KDE Settings:
 Anti-alias: System settings
 Force font DPI: Disabled

Local fonts.conf:
 RGBA: none
 hinting: true
 hintstyle: hintslight
 antialias: true

fontconfig 2.6.0

On the left, it's firefox, on the right, it's KMail.

Both are using the same settings but as you can see, the underlines for the accelerators are touching the letter in KDE.
