Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Every one in a while, my mouse pointer changes to a vertical bar and then doesn't change back to arrow or whatever it should be depending on what's below it. I can't explain it, but it has happened to me several times now, and it makes "aiming" pretty annoying, because it behaves like an arrow in that only the top end of the vertical bar is the target area. Very confusing. Any ideas?
Could you find any pattern about what did you pointed when the cursor changed? Thanks

I have been trying to make sense of this. For a while I thought that it might have something to do with VirtualBox. But I also observe it on a different machine without VirtualBox in use, although much more rarely. Other than that, it doesn't seem to be connected to any one particular application. I use the usual stuff, konsole, kmail, okular, konqueror, dolphin.
When do you started to see this behaviour ? THanks
I installed this machine in March 2009, and it has happened ever since, as far as I can recall.
