Description Michael Leupold 2009-04-20 11:59:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When entering a valid url into the proxy configuration field which is not supported by the underlying proxy code the proxy is silently ignored. Examples:
- smb://my.proxy

Expected result:
The configuration module tells me the proxy is not supported.

Entering an invalid url triggers an error (eg. "blabla://my.proxy").

I will take this as part of the proxy overhaul for the upcoming KDE 4.7. The https:// portion is valid, but not the smb:// one.
