Description Salim 2009-04-20 08:23:42 UTC
Version: 4.2.2 Release 114 (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Hi,
I have one screen which is from the notebook itself 1280x800 and one extern monitor 1440x900. I have an nvidia GeForce 9600M GT - but I think this is independent of it. I use KDE 4.2.2 "Release 114" with desktop effects activated and oxygen as theme.
When switching screens (using either disper or nvidia-settings) by deactivating the one from my notebook and activating only the extern monitor during runtime, then plasma seems to mix something up. The taskbar - although set to maximized - remains in its old size (1280px width). Furthermore, the virtual desktop #2 seems to overlap with the standard one virtual desktop #1.The #1 has size 1440x900 but the #2 has size 1280x800.
After having switched, one can set the size of the taskbar to maximized again and then it gets the size with width 1440px. However, setting taskbar size everyday is tedious. I will add a screenshot.

Here is the promised attachement: a screenshot showing the wrong behaviour (the task bar was set to full size though, otherwise you would have seen the task bar being width 1280px and aligned left). With no zoom the part of virtual desktop #2 overlaps the other one.

I am using a newer KDE version now and by now it is fixed.
