Version: 0.10.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-14-generic EXIF DateTime shows: 2009:04:11 00:26:04 Edit EXIF Metadata shows: 2009:04:11 12:26 AM Adjust date and time: 2009/04/11 12:26 PM It might only be a problem for images that are taken around noon/midnight but nonetheless digikam should decide on one way to present the time, is it AM or PM?
These informations are given by Exiv2 library. Which version of this library you use ? Go to Help/Components Info menu in digiKam for details. Which camera you use ? RAW or JPEG ? Can you provide a file sample to test ? Try with ExifTool to see which date are reported. Gilles Caulier
This is an excerpt of exiftool on the file... the camera uses JPEG. I'll upload an image to test on. Which is correct? The last is a 24h format, so it is really 12:26, 12:26PM, 26 minutes past noon?
Sorry I changed the DateTime of that file before running exif tool. Here is exiftool on a file in the same series. Date/Time Original : 2009:04:11 00:27:53 Create Date : 2009:04:11 00:27:53 This is 12:27 am
Can you upload a test image to test here ? Gilles Caulier
I set country+language to US and tested with main icon view and the two kipi plugins with an image that was taken 20 minutes after midnight. The main icon view showed 12:20 AM. The Adjust Date + Time and the Metadata -> Edit Exif plugins both use a 24h format for me ("00:20"). From your first comment it seems that only Adjust Date and Time is wrong? It's still not clear for me which place exactly is the problem.
Rudolf, Do you see comment #6 from Marcel ? Gilles Caulier
Hi Gilles, Sorry about being so unresponsive. The problem lies with 'Adjust date and time' showing PM which should be AM (00:26). I will try to reproduce the problem if possible.
Hi Gilles I dont think this is valid anymore, since the older time is no more shown in timeadjust. Shall i close the bug? Smit
