Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Please add delay to plasmoid toolboxes or add option to turn them off without locking the desktop. The locked desktop offers too little functionality compared to the unlocked desktop but the constant popping up of plasma toolboxes is very distracting.
A locked desktop does not accept drag'n'drop of folders to create a folderview, or drag'n'drop from items from kickoff to the panel. So an unlocked desktop works better for many things. However, the toolboxes are pretty annoying sometimes, popping up all the time. A delay of 200-300ms might already make a huge diff, I'd say.
my 2 cent: the focus model is broken. focus follow mouse + 0.5s raise delay: plasmoids don't get focus. but they produce popups, that won't get the focus either, but react to the mouse position. there's no way o turn the popups off. sometime they diappear when I move the mouse way off, more often they stay. then I have to klick on that thing and press <esc>. i'd like to disable that popups globally and I want a working focus model.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
