Description Dan 2009-04-16 02:18:32 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Steps to reproduce:

1) select some text on a website
2) paste on a chat window
3) after that, the background text will be black and the foreground too. Impossible to read what I'm typing.

Any hints?

This is still happening, correct? Or has it been fixed?
Comment 2 Dan 2009-07-05 06:16:14 UTC
I tested here and if I paste a text in the chat windows, the font will change to the font used in the pasted text. So it seems that pasted text changes the default font from the chat window.

I thinks it should be fixed in KDE SC 4.4 and most likely also in KDE 4.3.4. If rich text is disable the style won't change to the style of pasted text, if rich text is enabled the foreground and background will be changed to the style of pasted text.

But and if I like to enable rich text and want to past a text without changing the default foreground/background?

You can use "reset font and color" button you have to add it to toolbar.

Ok, but it would be better if we could have a setting that prevents the default background/foreground settings to be changed when we paste rich text...

I mean, I like to paste text, but I don't like that the default be changed when after I paste.
