Description Pantoufle 2009-04-12 20:14:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

In Kadressbook you have a list of contacts on the left side. In double click mode, o contact is displayed in the right window on a single click and opened for editing on a double click. In single click mode, both operations are processed always. You cannot just display the contact in the main window.

In kmail - for comparison - the behavior ist in a double click way, even with kde single click mode. This behavior is better and could be applicable to kaddressbook

(The Bug is also filed on the mandriva Bugtracker for 2009.1)

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
