Version: 0.70.50 (using 4.2.69 (KDE 4.2.69 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090406)) "release 1.3", KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.11-0.1-pae after changing the color of a protocol (in my case icq-symbol-color), it is colorized. but I cannot set it back, to display only the original colors, it is always colored. there should be the possibility to choose "transparent" or "origin" color. Only way I found to solve this, is to remove the "color" line from kopeterc-config-file.
At least in 4.3.80, a protocol tint of pure black (#000000) makes it assume the default color. There is also a 'default color' checkbox (why not a button?) in the color picker that sets it to this automatically.
ok, this checkbox is new in 4.3.x and fixes my problem, so I close the bug. although your idea to make the checkbox a button may not be wrong.
I have to reopen this bug. Last session I tested the "solution" by 1) setting a protocol-icon to blue 2) applied 3) checked, that icon is blue in kopete status bar 4) go to settings again and checked checkbox for standard-color 5) color was set to black, and icon had original color but now.. 6) after shutdown/reboot the icon is black!! 7) I cannot get it to original color, even not by checking the checkbox (which selects black as color)
This is bug in kdelibs ... we cannot set default color to invalid (in code) so if you open the dialog second time the "Default color" check box isn't checked so if you click ok the black is selected and not the default even though you didn't change anything in the dialog
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
