Description Marc Benstein 2009-04-09 18:24:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

This was originally reported downstream here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/489990

When locked the calendar widget causes plasma to use 100% of the cpu.

1. unlock the desktop
2. click "add widgets..."
3. add calendar on the desktop
The CPU usage stays low near 0%.
4. lock the widgets
The CPU usage jumps to 100% only after locking the widgets.
5. unlock the desktop again
The CPU usage stays at 100%.
6. remove calendar
The CPU usage goes down close to 0%.

I can confirm this behavior using kde 4.2.2 archlinux packages.

Marking as duplicate of bug 187699 as the situation is related (calendar on desktop, changing properties -> 100%Plasma,Usage, removing it fixes the issue)
Thanks for reporting
