Description Marc Mutz 2001-01-22 10:50:52 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 1.9.8 (KDE 2.0.1)
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake 7.2 RPMs

- Open a Konqueror window and select
menu bar -> window -> Show Directory Tree.
- Click on the icon representing the folder named "Desktop" (or any other)
-> the Directory Tree frame is updated as well ("Desktop" s now selected)
- Hit the 'back' button in the toolbar.
-> D.T. frame still shows "Desktop" selected.

IMO the D.T. frame should always select the folder which is displayed
in the Icon View frame.

Doesn't happen with current CVS (2.1 beta 2 coming very soon now).

You test konqueror/KDE a lot -> please use the latest version available
even if it's a beta.

Hi!

mkdir ~/test
mv somefile.html ~/test

1. open homedir in konqueror and click your way to somefile.html
2. while somefile.html is being displayed click on 'Home Directory'
in the dir-view on the left.
3. hit 'back' in toolbar

-> dirview still shows 'Home Dir.' selected but the right view has
test/somefile.html in it so it should rather highlight 'test'.

Now some clever person will probably ask: "And what if you surf the
web? What should be highlighted in dir-view then?" And my answer to
that is to either remove the dirview frame on entering web browsing or
to highlight the corresponding entry of the 'History' "folder" in
dirview.
