Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package If one launches kickoff, via either keyboard shortcut or by pressing on the "K" icon, the focus remains on the old window. This is a problem because it is very useful to be able to navigate kickoff using solely a keyboard (arrow keys, etc.). Since launching kickoff is clearly a user-initiated action, it seems logical to give it focus on at least some focus-stealing-prevention levels -- at present, this behaviour is present at all levels. Changing compositing also has no effect (nor should it, intuitively). Furthermore, since focus is not given, pressing "Esc" does not exit it, and in some cases, can even cause the user to discard something they were doing in the old window. I am running vanilla 4.2.2 on Arch. Steps to reproduce: (1) Activate kickoff via the keyboard shortcut or by pressing on the "K" icon in the panel. (2) Attempt to navigate kickoff via keyboard. Notice how keyboard input is sent to the old window.
