Version:           kstars 1.4.2 (using KDE 4.1.4)
Compiler:          cc 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I downloaded and installed the program. everything works except that the mouse pointer (which does work on the rest of the desktop), disappears when you cross over into the star sky screen.  

If you right click, (and you get an information box of the star that you clicked,) the arrow pointer appears and you can move it all over the star screen, but if you click anything else, the arrow pointer disappears again
