Version: (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Fedora RPMs Precondition ------------ Laptop working on AC, profile selected for"Running On AC" is "Performance". Action chosen for "When laptop lid is closed" is "Lock Screen". Bug Description ---------------- When laptop lid is open after keeping it closed for more than 30 minutes, The desktop stops responding. Force power down is needed. No Unlock session screen is coming. For a time period, less than 30 minutes, it works without any problem Expected Result --------------- when the laptop lid is opened, "Unlock Session" screen for entering the password should come. Other Observations ------------------ Changing the action for laptop lid closing to "Do Nothing" works fine. Keyboard and mouse keeps responding. Can see the mouse pointer and move it along the screen.
Can't you switch to another terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1) to get a shell and start investigating from there ?. Thanks
