Description Michael Quinn 2009-04-02 00:57:09 UTC
Version: 2.1-SVN (using KDE 4.2.1)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.3
OS: Linux

When albums are added to the library that contain only one track, many (if not all) of them are placed in Various Artists, making it extremely difficult to browse my collection. Complicating matters further is that there's no way to select multiple albums and remove them all from Various Artists en masse. With a collection of tens of thousands of tracks, it's completely impractical to do this one by one.

Upon deleting my collection db, I rescanned and the problem did not immediately return. I'm guessing it's a problem with the compilations logic on a rescan (for some reason, I couldn't get Amarok to rescan), treating a single file in a directory as part of a compilation because there already exists a track from that album in the collection.
