Description Alan Christenson 2009-04-01 11:15:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

If I switch the desktop type from folder view to the standard desktop then all the plasmoids squish into a 800x600 area in the upper left of the desktop.

If a new theme is set after this happens all the plasmoids try to assume their original positions.
If they bump into another plasmoid in their path to their former place then they'll stop rather than just jumping to their locations.

original layout(approx) - http://i43.tinypic.com/2dtspdl.png
squished plasmoids - http://i39.tinypic.com/swbfy0.png
colliding plasmoids - http://i40.tinypic.com/vqh3py.png
The clock jumped to its place after I moved the quicklauncher out of its way; but the CPU monitor had to be moved manually.

Expected behavior: plasmoids should retain their position across settings changes.
