Version: 1.10.3 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 4.9", openSUSE 11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.19-3.2-pae I have set my new mail notifications to include the highlighting of the taskbar entry. However, the taskbar entry is often highlighted, even when KMail is not in focus, and there is no new mail. Also, when new mail does arrive, and the taskbar entry does not get highlighted (unless it already is highlighted). Basicly, there doesn't seem to be any meaningful pattern to when the taskbar entry is and isn't highlighted. Motivation for bug report: I have to keep bringing up the KMail window to check to see if I have new mail Thanks for a great mail client - been using it happily for many years :)
I've set the notification for new mail to appear in the system tray - this works fine, so is an effective workaround for this problem.
Since KDE 4.2 I see the highlighting working as it should. Have to disable mail notifaction for trash of course - or I'm notified when spam is moved to there.
