Description Dan 2009-03-26 20:09:52 UTC
Version: svn (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.3 -O3 -march=native
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

I updated to the latest kde svn and now when I use Ctrl+W to close a Kopete chat window, it does not work. However, Ctrl+Q works fine.

Kopete bug? KDE bug?

It is something deeper than kopete: I'm experiencing this bug on all applications, even non KDE applications (like firefox).

This seems a problem on the configuration files: I've just tried with a clean user account and there the CTRL+W shortcut works fine.

I've started the shortcut configuration dialog and re-mapped CTRL+W to the "Close" action, it tells me that it is in conflict with another one (CTRL+F4 of Qt Designer), I force CTRL+W to "Close" and after it works :-)

Thanks, that solved the problem ;).
