If marble widget is opened then digikam always crashes when moving trough photos with coordinates set. It is also tremendously slow switching between photos (line a second or two from the click).

Can you please verify whether this has something to do with gpsd?
I.e., if gpsd is installed and running, stop gpsd and try again.

@  Eckhart marble is compiled without gpsd
@  I think i should invalidate this bug because i'm having a lot of crashes in openSUSE 11.2 milestone2 so it's probably related to something else i did not yet figured out!
