Is the situation you described related with the crash itself.? This could be related to the backtrace of bug 179287 (Qt bug which should be fixed in Qt4.4.3+qt-copy-patches and Qt4.5 ) If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here?
