Description Thomas Van Parys 2009-03-24 15:33:02 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

As long as I just want to print to a local printer, there is no problem at all.

When I bring my laptop to work however, I have to edit /etc/cups/client to list the company print server:
ServerName <server url>

After I restart the cups service, KDE apps don't print anymore. They completely hang, immediately after pressing 'Print' (so no dialog shows up) and have to be killed.

Also system-config-printer-kde now gives an empty window and hangs.

Non-kde-apps keep working fine. OpenOffice eg. now shows all available printers in the building.
Also system-config-printer lists all printers.
