Description Mohd Asif Ali Rizwaan 2009-03-23 22:55:02 UTC
Version: 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

Applet just shows "loading" but never loads in konqueror. firefox and others work fine.

How to reproduce:

1. visit: http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/uploadjava
2. wait forever to see "loading..." but applet won't load even when security manager is disabled in Java settings.

Expected Behavior:

1. applet should load as in firefox.

thanks.

Testing with 4.6.4 and security manager disabled, I see the applet for a short time and then it disappears.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS and all related Java/plugin infrastructure) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
