Description Bob 2009-03-22 22:34:49 UTC
Kmail 1.11.1
KDE 4.2.1

Procedure:

1. Write a new message
2. Turn some of the words into hyperlinks with the Add Link button
3. Send it, then decide you want to send that same message to someone else
4. Look in your sent folder, and find the message
5. Select the content of the message and copy it ***bug here***
6. Paste it into your new message

Result: All the links are gone.

Expected Result: Links should be preserved.

Notes: Pasting is not the problem, I can paste rich text containing links from other sources (Firefox, Thunderbird). It seems that when you copy messages from the messages folder, they get converted into plain text.

Confirmed in kmail 1.11.90 (kde 4.2.67).

As a workaround, you can use the menu entry: Message|Send again.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
