Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs I have an idea on how to improve the Device Notifier plasmoid and make it more usable to new windows converts. I often find myself mounting .iso images, and from my experience nothing beats Daemon Tools from Windows. Device Notifier is somehow similar and could be used for this task. Just add an option at the top to mount a cd/dvd image. When clicked the open file dialog would pop up and allow the user to select an image file. If an acceptable file is selected, another dialog would pop up prompting the user to select/create a target folder to mount to. Mounting virtual drives should be easy as that nowadays imho.
Also once an image is mounted it should be added to the list in the plasmoid so that it's easily unmountable.

Suggestion from bug 187880: There should also be a mount entry in the context menu of .iso files (like the K3b Burn to CD).
