Version: unknown (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0) "release 93", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.7-9-pae In configure desktop -> advanced -> session manager, when selecting not to offer shutdown options, it works, e.g. it only shows the shutdown button when using the logout plasmoid. Now, if you select "Offer shutdown options", the logout plasmoid shows the same dialogue (only option is shutdown). There should be all the options there, as before.
are you referring to the window that appears in the middle of the screen to confirm the log out?
Yes. Before, using the logout widget (not the kickoff menu) all three options were visible. Now only shutdown will appear. Sorry to have been unclear.
By repeating your steps, I think I get the correct behavior. 1. I select "Offer shutdown options" 2. I use the log out widget to exit KDE, then I get the exit dialog with three options (log out, restart, shutdown). 3. I uncheck the "Offer shutdown options" box 4. I get only the log out option in the dialog 5. I select "Offer shutdown options" again 6. Then the three options comes back in the dialog
yes, it works now with my KDE4.3 installation. Sorry, totally forgot to check this bugreport from time to time. The procedure you mention did not change the behaviour at that time, hence the bugreport.
