Version: (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Unspecified Linux The menu item "About KDE" is too tall. The artifact is also visible in every "configure shortcuts" dialog. This is true for all apps that have the "About KDE" menu item or shortcut. I am using the ArchLinux distribution and packages. See attached screenshots below.

Please, review your KDE installation. You have mixed icons from the old Crystal theme and the new Oxygen one. The "About KDE" icon in the Configure Shortcuts Dialog looks like the "process-working-kde.png" image from a standard installation
Switching the iconset fixed it. The "Apperance" dialog in "System Setting" lets me choose from all iconsets in /usr/share/icons, so I don't think that there is anything wrong with my KDE installation. Maybe I should only be able to select valid / KDE4-compatible ones?
What was the previous icon theme ? I suppose that this is an error in that theme.
It probably was an old version of crystal-svg. I don't know for sure because I deleted the old themes now :-) I guess this can be closed now.
