Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 4.2.1) Compiler: GCC 4.3.3, cmake 2.6.3 OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package The plasmoid takes a lot of place if it is active, however this place would not be needed if it is not active. It would be nice if the plasmoid could become smaller and for example show the "no download active icon" which is used in systray.
I am not sure if I understand your suggestion. So you mean that the kget applet would resize itself to something smaller if aren't downloading something, or if KGet is not running? Is this suggestion solely of aesthetic reason or would that free space be used elsewhere? The reason I ask this is that I am not sure what you want to do with the freespace. In an unrelated note it is possible to move the applet into the systray, that way you could save some space already. :)

The freespace would have been used for the Task Manager in the Panel, however since Stasks and other fancy plasmoids space isn't a major problem anymore. > In an unrelated note it is possible to move the applet into the systray, that > way you could save some space already. :) Didn't know that. Well the bug was filed in 4.2.1. I'll look at KDE SC 4.5 and close it, if it fits my needs. Thank you for answering Johannes
Closing because it's over 9 years old and I couldn't reproduce it for the life of me and am not using Kget anymore. Sorry for keeping it open that long. Cheers Johannes
