The icon applied to the chat window is the protocol icon (AIM, Jabber, etc.).  When the remote user's status is Away, Busy, or Mobile, a smaller icon appears over the protocol icon reflecting this status.  The protocol icon scales well when the size of the icon changes; the status icon does not.

My wish is that the smaller status icon would also scale smoothly, because I use a dock with large window icons.  Right now, it looks bad in contrast with the smooth protocol icon.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
