Description Dotan Cohen 2009-03-17 14:13:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

There are many text fields that one cannot change the directionality in, such as input fields in Korganizer, the Konqueror address bar, and the Dolphin Rename File dialog. This is very problematic for RTL users. Please add the ability to change directionality in all fields. Thanks.

As far as I know, Qt now automatically detects layout direction by the characters you enter. Could you please check, if this works correctly, or if there are remaining places where adding an option to manually change the direction would be needed?

Qt does in fact now autodetect the directionality based on the first character of the string. It is not ideal, but it is good enough that I'll not burden KDE with yet another bug report.

Thanks!
