Description doc.evans 2009-03-16 21:58:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I look at a lot of PDF documents in the course of a day, and almost every time the first thing I have to do after opening a document is to click View | Fit Page. This tends to become annoying pretty quickly.

Every now and then, for no obvious reason, okular does open a file in Fit Page mode; but most of the time it does not, and there seems to be no setting to force it to do so.

Really, it seems like okular should just remember and apply the View setting from its last use.

Anyway, the current unpredictable behaviour is annoying and either an explicit "open in Fit Page mode" setting should be provided, or okular should just use the setting that was in force when it was last closed.

FYI: Okular remembers the zoom used on a per-document basis.
