Version: (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages When I'm closing many windows and make the desktop effect 'present windows' right after it, kwin crashes. I reproduced this many times. It is irrelevant wheather I use a hotkey for present windows or use the mouse in the corner. For a test I used Iceweasel/Firefox, made a bunch of new windows and closed them very quickly with the hotkey CTRL+W. Then right after the last window has closed I made 'present windows and kwin crashed. Installed from Debian: KDE 4.2.1 experimental QT 4.5.0-1 experimental xserver-xorg 1:7.3+18 stable xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.6.1-2 stable
> KDE 4.2.1 experimental What does $ dpkg -l kde-window-manager | grep ^ii say? Also, can you please provide a backtrace for the crash? You can find more info about that in: http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Thanks
It was KDE 4.2.1-1. I intalled 4.2.1-2 and another -1 packages which I didn't see. My system was a mixture of -1 an -2 packages. I overseen some during updating. Now I cannot reproduce the bug.
