Version: 2.0.81 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-9-generic I m using kile 2.1 in ubuntu 9.04, and using the fcitx as input method. when input chinese,If I input a long sentence which has more than 1 chinese word, everything works fine, but if I just input one word like "你" or "的" or ",", nothing would be insert into the latex source file. that makes kile really no use in chinese. I have tried kate 3.2.1 since they are both based on QT, kate has no problem in this case, the input method works just fine in kate. so,please check it. thanks for the great work.
Should be fixed with r940069. If you are able to compile the svn source (see http://kile.sourceforge.net/developers.php#svn ), please do so and let us know if it fixes the problem for you. In the meantime, there is an option: Settings->Configure Kile...->LaTeX->General->Special Characters that you can disable in order to get the older functionality back (This should be turned off by default -- did something screwy happen with the kubuntu builds? I'll email the kubuntu contact on this so they can determine if this is worth a re-release of 2.1) Thanks for the report!
Reopen if problem persists.
confirmed that the bug has been fixed with r940250. thanks for the great work.
