Description Ron Eggler 2009-03-15 16:56:11 UTC
Version: Version 2.0-SVN-Neon (using KDE 4.2.1)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Hi There,

I used the global shortcut Meta+C quite often to pause/play my music. Anyways, in the last version of Version 2.0-SVN-Neon I realized that this doesn't work anymore. I thought oh well, it may come back up next time and i didn't file a report but today Kubuntu had a new neon update available which i downloaded and started and.... the global shortcuts still don't work. :o In the shortcut dialog, the global column is just empty for all the functions (by default). Now if i try to set it to use the default ("Meta+C" in the case of play/pause) i just can't select the radio button (the selection just doesn't change when clicking on it).
Then if i try to manually set it, i click on he input button, hit the Windows key and it shows "Meta +" but as soon as i hit "C" it goes back to saying None - the same happens with any other key combination. Iss there something screwed up in my config maybe? Where is this defined? What would i need to delete?

Same here.
Comment 2 Mark Kretschmann 2009-03-15 18:34:05 UTC
Can't reproduce this with Amarok trunk and KDE 4.2.1.

I assume it's a NEON / KDE issue, as NEON uses KDE trunk afaik (which would be the not-yet-released 4.3.0).
Comment 3 Ron Eggler 2009-03-15 18:46:39 UTC
I confirm, it seems to be a neon issue only but where should i report this if not here?

@Ron: E.g. here:

http://groups.google.com/group/amarok-neon?hl=en

(But unfortuately the NEON creator Harald Sitter is currently very busy with doing civil service, so it might be hard to get replies from him.)

Comment 12 Lydia Pintscher 2009-07-26 21:54:45 UTC
Fixed by upgrading from 4.2.4 to KDE 4.3 RC 3 for me.
Comment 13 gidantribal 2009-07-27 18:37:22 UTC
is *NOT* fixed for me (4.3.61)... can you tell me if your version is >= mine?
