Version: svn r932517 (using Devel) Compiler: gcc 4.3.3 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources I don't know if this is a bug or a wish, but it looks more like a bug to me. After some time without using trunk, I've recently started compiling and using it again. In Kopete, when a chat window appeared and I or another person started a conversation, it would remain blank as if nothing had been typed. Later I found out this was because I was using the Gaim style for the chat window before, and it has been renamed to Pidgin recently. When I manually chose Pidgin (or another style) in the Chat Window preferences, everything worked fine again. I guess Kopete users who are using the Gaim style might experience this strange behaviour once 4.3 is released. In fact, if the style currently chosen by the user is missing somehow (if it was installed locally, it could have been manually removed, for example) Kopete should fall back to default a style that is always present.
We were talking about this problem here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185944 I was in the same situation as you: pidgin/gaim theme and after update blank chat window.
