Version: 4.2.1 (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Slackware Packages NumLock LED is enabled after KDE4 startup, which would mean that NumLock is currently enabled, but it's not - NumPad keys works like arrows, PgUp, etc, instead of numerical/math. I need to push twice (!) NumLock key to disable NumLock LED, then press NumLock key again, to re-enable it and then it works fine.
Not a kchart bug. I don't know if it should be plasma or what, so I'll put it on general KDE.
Is is still a problem? There were number of reports about NumLock problems (and there were some fixes in this code since 4.2) but many of those were actually problems with x.org, so not sure how much KDE will be able to help.
Yes, with 4.7.3.
so.. it seems that this problem is still presenet after 3 years and 8 releases.. Numlock is always off on startup even if I set it ON at KDE startup, or if I choose to remember the previous session state. This is surely a KDE upstream bug, since other DE are not affected, and I had encoutered it in different distros, in different releases and on different machines. It's time to fix it! Just ask me to help debug if needed, please. Greets
Fixing it would be awesome, I'll take the patch anytime :)
i'd rather say the bug is solved, at least in my almost vanilla arch box, 4.10/4.11 beta 2.
I cant' reproduce using kde sc 4.11 beta2, either. Please try recent release to see whether the problem still exists.
