Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.5.10) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Hi. I dream to have XMPP (also know as Jabber protocol) MUC (multi-user chat) support in Konversation. XMPP MUC is strong competitor to the IRC, and I use both. I chat in IRC with Konversation and in XMPP with Psi or Kopete. But Psi and Kopete is not good for me. In IRC with Konversation I have tons of features, like scripts, colored nicknames or OSD, God only knows how many times I say "/media" in Psi. I know about one success story - irssi and irssi-plugin-xmpp (http://cybione.org/~irssi-xmpp/). It's really nice to have both media, IRC and XMPP MUC, in single chat program. Thanks. (And sorry for my English).
Until we make moves on XMPP (no promises), you might be interested in bitlbee (http://www.bitlbee.org/), a proxy app that allows you to turn your IRC client of choice into a XMPP client.
We've decided that supporting anything other than IRC is not part of our scope also going forward, sorry.
