Description patcito 2009-03-13 02:01:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be good to be able to add basic image editing to ksnapshot and also be able to add arrows and notes to the grabbed picture. Skitch (http://skitch.com/) allows to so on mac and it's a really great app.

This is what the text+arrows looks like:

It's very useful to point bugs in apps UI for example.

Thanks in advance for considering.

I think this is a good idea!

... A first step could (alternativly) be to have an easy way to open the sceenshot in a selctable application - or upload it to a web service (see also https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175128 )

There's already the option to send the image to external apps, and since ksnapshot will never be a real image editor this functionality won't be added. A companion app that offers some editing/screenie type effects would be a nice future addition however.
