Description S. Burmeister 2009-03-12 10:09:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Recently a mail-provider changed the available security mecahnisms, i.e. CRAM-MD5, which was selected for that account in kmail's settings, was no longer available.

When I clicked on the "check server capabilities", it was shown as available though, i.e. I could select it after clicking on another mechanism.

Saving the settings with another mechanism in use and re-checking, did grey out the cram-md5.

Expected behaviour, grey out all mechanisms not available, even if those are set in kmail's settings.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
