Description Angel Blue01 2009-03-10 20:44:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Currently only Kate and Kwrite support a "highlight all" feature of their Find which highlights all occurrences of a search phrase in an open document.

While I think this feature should be added first to all KDE applications that have a find-in-current-document feature, I have a request that could be added along with it.

Google Chrome has a search marker feature, that creates makes along the scrollbar showing where in the page that feature appears. Clicking a mark takes the user to that point in the page. This is very handy when searching long documents.

Hi!
Despite from being from 2009, this enhancement is still relevant, as of version 4.10.1 we still don't have this feature.
I use this feature when available in other applications, like firefox and I think it's relevant.

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
