Description mattm3a 2009-03-10 18:02:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have a simple LaTeX powerdot document that has been compiled to a pdf using dvipdf. When opening the file in okular's presentation mode, the appearance of the table of contents in the left portion of the slide changes from slide to slide. It is expected that only the highlighting will change, but the fonts
become distorted as well.

The exact entries that are distorted may change with each opening of the file. The current slide when presentation mode is activated may change this as well.

I submitted a bug report for poppler some time ago, but I'm not sure exactly what backend is rendering this.
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20073

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open slide document
2. Activate presentation mode
3. Move between slides
Actual Results:
Fonts for the table of contents may become distorted for some slides.

Expected Results:
Only the highlighted entry should change.

This is a Poppler problem, thus should be tracked in poppler's bug tracking system.

  Hi!
I've also done a presentation (in beamer) and it happens exacly the same. The fonts become distorted, the strange is that this renders ok with evince and not okular.
I tried the #1 document and it happens the same. I fail to see why this can be poppler's bug as evince use also poppler (and I check that both versions, libpoppler-qt4 and libpoppler-glib4, are 10.5).

By the way, thanks for the great program that okular is.

Library is the same, but Okular and Evince use two different renderers.
