I often use the batch rename tool within my albums. When I do this, after I close the dialog, the view is not refreshed, I still see the old names. What is worse, even if I click Album -> Refresh, the image names stay, but the icon which is shown if no preview is available, appears instead of the album. To get the actual view of the album I have to change into another album and back again. I confirm using KDE3 and KDE4 releases. Something is missing in kipi-interface Gilles
The plugin must call something Kipi::Interface::refreshImages(const KUrl&) This is not the case... Gilles Caulier
I have the same problem with the digiKam batch rename plugin. Sorry, my mistake, I didn't check my installation thoroughly. I've deleted the unnecessary packages you pointed out, and now everything is working fine. Thanks a lot for your help!
