Well this is not a problem with showFoto but with your distribution. They seem to have messed things up. Closing this one as DOWNSTREAM.

Andy, I am the packager for Debian. Can you provide a bit more detail than 'have messed up'. There are no shofoto.po files shipped with the tarball, lots of digikam.po files.
