there is a nice feature in OpenOffice Calc in which we can drag a row marker from the beginning of the spread sheet and have it split horizontally in a way that i can view the same file both on the upper portion of the screen and on the lower portion of the screen.
it is very useful to see parts of the same file while working on other parts of it.
i am attaching a screen capture as a visual sample to what i am trying to convey.
