Version: (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package How to reproduce: 1. System Settings -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Global Keyboard Shortcuts 2. Try to set a Custom shortcut as "Ctrl + ^" First problem: With keyboard layout "setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout de -variant", little boxes are shown instead of the "^" character Second problem: The assigned shortcut does not work Solution for first problem: Set keyboard layout in System Settings to "nodeadkeys" (tested with German "setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout de -variant nodeadkeys") - but second problem remains.
