Description John van Spaandonk 2009-03-08 12:41:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Flash does not work on youtube using view mode - webkit.
This also does not work with view mode - khtml

I checked that the problem is not related to webkit, it works
with arora 0.5.

I find it surprising that there should be such a high correlation between
things not working in khtml and also not in webkit part.
And I know (from checking with arora 0.5) that this is not a webkit
problem.
I read about konqueror's difficulty with the new flash player (version 10).
Does konqueror cause so many problems, not just in the
khtml part?

Confirmed on KDE 4.3 beta 1 (4.2.85) with opensuse 11.1 and flash 64-bit.

I'm watching top gear on youtube right now in konqueror with wabkit part enabled (works with khtml as well)

Unfortunately it's not always smooth experience.

nspluginviewer segfaults with webkit.

Linux 2.6.27.21-0.1-default x86_64
openSUSE 11.1 (x86_64)
Qt: 4.5.1
KDE: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) "release 125"
Plasma Workspace: 0.3

Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22 x86-64
Comment 5 Paweł Prażak 2009-05-19 20:14:56 UTC
it segfaults with khtml as well
Comment 6 Todd 2009-07-02 21:32:13 UTC
