Description Daniel O'Connor 2009-03-08 08:06:20 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.1.4)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

The tab size in the kmail composer is 4 rather than the expected 8.

I am pretty sure this is a regression from KDE3.
Comment 1 José Manuel Santamaría Lema 2009-03-15 18:22:13 UTC
I can reproduce it with kmail 1.11.1, KDE 4.2.1 installed from debian experimental packages:
$ apt-show-versions kdepim
kdepim/experimental uptodate 4:4.2.1-1

I just click on "new message button" and typed some text with tabs. For me, with fixed font ("View -> Use Fixed Font" in the editor) the tabs' width is the same of 4 spaces and a half.

Also, I can't see any option to choose the tab width in "Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Composer".

Defining the Tab size is a wish.
Comment 3 Artem Anisimov 2010-03-09 13:22:38 UTC
I'd also like to see tab width made configurable not only in composer, but in the message viewer too.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
