Description squan 2009-03-07 22:49:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Two examples:
1) In the regional settings module of system settings the default shortcut for "Alternative shortcut" of the keyboard layout switcher is Ctrl+Alt+K. This has no effect until is set it manually. If I choose Ctrl+Alt+K this will work then.
2)I assigned Alt+A as activation shortcut for the virtual desktop applet in the configuration dialog of the applet.
This had no effect (except that Alt+A did no longer work as keyboard accelerator in applications)

Reassigning.
Comment 2 Andriy Rysin 2010-05-12 03:00:44 UTC
There were some problems with global shortcuts in general (not related to keyboard layouts) but to my knowledge they have been fixed. Is it still an issue for you?
Comment 3 squan 2010-05-12 22:21:33 UTC
Ok, I checked both reported cases and they are fixed.
