Version: 1.60.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.26-1-amd64 i insert blank DVD-R x16 media into HP dv7 laptop start k3b svn v1.6 , select and iso image to burn. start the burning dialog/process...nothing happen for several min only the counter counts the sec... closing the dialog crashes k3b (that's another issue) i open GnomeBaker and start the same process and it works fine. here is some logs from gnomebaker: Executing 'builtin_dd if=/root/iso/CentOS-5.2-x86_64-bin-DVD/CentOS-5.2-x86_64-bin-DVD.iso of=/dev/sr0 obs=32k seek=0' /dev/sr0: "Current Write Speed" is 4.1x1352KBps. /dev/sr0: flushing cache /dev/sr0: updating RMA /dev/sr0: closing disc i have logs from the k3b (trying to burn session and then crash) reported here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172952#c1
Does it happen also on newer builds? Could you test it on K3b 1.66 alpha2 or at least on 1.86 alpha3?
