Comment 3 Konstantin 2009-04-02 16:49:41 UTC
Sorry, I cannot. Window is not resizable:( And Now it shows only the word 'local'. But iI get the title from Alt+Tab classic switcher:) Title: When running command 'local' the mistake happens.

From terminal output:

[user@1x1linux ~]$ kfind
kfind(9590)/kdecore (KSycoca) KSycocaPrivate::openDatabase: Trying to open ksycoca from "/var/tmp/kdecache-user/ksycoca4"
kfind(9590) KfindWindow::beginSearch: "beginSearch in: /home/user"
QIODevice::read: WriteOnly device

I have recently fixed a bug in KFind,and now it shows the results of the "locate" command properly. (It's late for KDE4.2.2, it will be in KDE4.2.3 and KDE4.3.x)

You are getting some error when running the "locate" command (which is the option KFind uses when you select "Use files index" ). What is the shell output if you launch the command "locate" from Konsole ?. And what is the shell output if you launch "locate ~" ? do you get a list of the files in your home folder ?

May be the error happens when searching on some special locations

Thanks
