Description Dmitry Kandalov 2009-02-28 11:57:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

In kde3 I used to have alt+letter shortcuts. For example, alt+i,j,k,l shortcuts in kate to use them instead of arrows and various alt+letter shortcuts in krusader.

After switching to kde4 they don't work anymore which seems to be because alt+letter shortcuts in main menu (like alt+s for "_S_ettings") have precedence over user-defined shortcuts.

I'd really appreciate if it could be changed to work as in kde3. Thanks :)

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
